The YouTube homepage along with brand channels and ads on video pages will be available for online gambling advertising. By using age-restricted campaigns, online gambling companies and betting companies that offer their business to UK players will be allowed to promote themselves on YouTube.
YouTube will monitor the age-restriction carefully. Users of the site will only be able to view the gambling ads if they are over 18. Their accounts will first need to be verified; when that is done ads will appear on the site while they use it.

James Cashmoore of Google revealed that despite recent partnership with problem gambling charity GamCare they have not been directly consulted about the new policies. He also said that he is confident the advertisements won’t be available to underage consumers.
